We added a new block: the reviews your customers left you on Google — full text, name and photo of whoever wrote them — right inside your store. And while we were at it, the usual review widgets got more control over their design.
What it looks like
A block with your Google rating, the number of reviews and what your customers said. Each one links to Google, so anyone on the fence can check it for themselves.
You set it up once
Go to Reviews › Widgets › Google Reviews, search for your business by name and city, and pick it from the list. Done.
If you were already using the floating badge, your business is already connected: just turn the block on and choose where to show it. Each format has its own switch, so you can have one, the other, or both.
Choose which pages it shows on
You can show it on one page, two, or all three — and place it differently on each one:
Home — above or below your featured products, your new arrivals, your sale items…
Product page — after the description, near the buy button, with the related products…
Product list — above or below the category grid.
One tip: on the product page, the sweet spot is after the description. Above the buy button it takes up prime real estate and pushes the button down.
Three ways to show them
Carousel — they slide sideways. Ideal when space is tight.
Grid — all visible at once, laid out in columns.
List — one below the other, full width.
If you pick carousel, you can turn on Auto-scroll so the reviews rotate without the visitor swiping, and set how many seconds between each one.
You pick the colors
Block background, card background, title, text, stars and links. Plus two options that save you from hunting down your theme's exact color code:
Transparent — the block paints nothing and your store's background shows through.
My store's color — the title picks up the same text color your design uses.
The Google logo and its "G" can't be recolored: that's Google's condition for displaying their reviews.
The title, your way
Write whatever you want ("What people say about us", "Real opinions") and adjust bold, italic, alignment and size. All with a live preview using your actual reviews: what you see in the panel is what your customer gets.
Something you should know about Google
Google allows up to 5 reviews and picks them itself, based on which ones it considers most relevant. They can't be filtered by rating or reordered: those are Google's rules for every app, not a Nuby limitation.
They refresh on their own once a week, so when someone leaves you a new review it shows up without you touching anything.
And in the usual review widgets
The widgets with your own store's reviews also gained design options, under Reviews › Widgets › Appearance:
Title style — bold, italic and alignment (left or centered).
Transparent — so the widget blends into your store's background.
My store's color for the title — no hex code hunting.
Copy colors to all widgets — now it copies the title style too, not just the colors.
If you already had your widgets set up, they look exactly the same as before. The new options start out with the values you were already using: nothing changes until you change it.
